This is Peppermint, a character owned by AurithmicLight from DA. She's thinking about her friend, Toffee who hibernates during the winter, making it hard for them to see each other.
I took the fluff idea from the previous image and pushed it even further with this one. One trick I tried was to edit the normals of the fluff object to make it blend in more with the surface it was attached to. I think it turned out really good. The aurora borealis in the sky was made fast using a texture. I could make it look a more realistic, but it would have added several more hours to this image and it isn't even the focus.
