Trying to think of something for this one was hard, that's all I have to say...
lapinerider gave me a much better title for this one than what I had come up, hence the second title.

Per normal, please be sure to check

I'm very grateful to hear you enjoyed, I was a bit worried it might be a bit boring. Thank you much for reading through it.
I'm also glad you like the icon. It started as a part of a vent piece some time ago, but now I like to think it's myself screaming: "I'm writing this world!"

This really got me. For the first half I was thinking "aww, an adorable story about a bulldog loosely inspired by that cool bulldog picture." Then you somehow flipped it and integrated that picture better than any story I've read so far, and probably any I'll read after. You also integrated the post's title so flawlessly that I only noticed when re-reading it for this comment. Wonderfully done!
And for what it's worth, I would love nothing more than to hear stories about datasets ^^

I very much appreciate you saying you enjoyed it; I had a bit of a time trying to figure out how to go about this one... As for stories on data sets, oh boy, that's an entire anthology by itself!
... *Is already thinking on how to make some sort of story based on a collection of data that hides a code that is key to discovering a hidden treasure or some such...* Thank you for the spontaneous inspiration, this might very well make my next Thursday Prompt easier!
Thank you very much for reading, always grateful for that.

I did actually think for a little while on maybe merging the two, but I wasn't sure how to go about doing that so this became the end result. Swapping places, though... hmm... I hadn't considered that one; it certainly could have been an interesting turn of events if old Maximillian had to take on the human's job!
I'm very glad you took the time to read through this, thank you for that. Thank you as well for this week's prompt; it was quite the fun challenge.

I'm glad you seemed to like it, I haven't done much in the way of transformation but do enjoy the fine details that others use when describing the process. Thank you very much for giving this one a read.
As for the existential crisis, I like to think that the former-human is still waking up and trying to process his new appearance. The weight of the situation would certainly strike once he realized he is no longer dreaming. (That said, you having mentioned it has already put the image of the dog-man huddled on the floor lamenting his dilemma with Maximillian nearby and attempting to comfort him in my head.)
