A commission of a particularly sad scene that was a challenge both in concept and technique. The two characters pictured have lost their son as a result of war but cannot comfort each other as they are fighting for different forces.

Very beautiful and powerful, it actually made me take a moment out of my life to think about those that have lost and are grieving. The detail on the hands and faces are especially striking...and the tear down his cheek is probably the most emotional part for me. I congratulate you because it really does move me, thanks for sharing.
So sad pic.They seems,really,to live their pain under our eyes.No son will must being lost in the wars,letting his parents alone for cry him..........The father can comfort by himself;but who can comfort the pain of a mother having lost her own flesh and blood? "cry"

After reading all the comments I jsut have to agree, it's really an excellent piece of artm excellently executed. And just a note, it's not a full blown war, it's more a skirmish on the outskirts of the territories, if anyone ever reads this. XD
