blurring the background was my fix for it not matching the quality of the newly cleaned character lines, but i may have overdone it. probably should have lowered the opacity more and blurred less. or at least also blurred the shading back there. the conflict of blur and not-blur on the same objects is what bugs me the most, personally.
and the color itself is definitely better but i lost a lot of the charm the original sketch had with my attempts to line it quickly, i didn't pay enough attention to maintaining the vibe.
