Espilax's theme a.k.a. coming home again pt 2 :3
Experimental character theme for a very close friend of mine
espilax. I wrote this theme when I was going through a pretty tough time so I needed something happy and upbeat :3

Been listening to your music recently while I was revising for my exams (Decro's Theme was actually playing in my head for a few papers!), and while I haven't listened to all of your songs yet the ones I have are pretty awesome!
My first thought when I heard this on your Twitter was "is this a remix of Coming Home Again?" I feel it was pretty inspired by that, was it?

Oh wow! I didn't think anyone would be listening to my music casually, happy to hear that :3
Yes actually! Decro, Espilax and I are closest friends with each other, so I wanted an overarching theme representing the friendship. Both themes start similar but develop in different ways based on the character's personality, then there's a callback at the end. My initial idea was to compose a melody that can be secretly layered with coming home again (like a duet) but that kinda fell apart, so instead it's more like a coming home again part 2 =P

For me it was mainly the "skip-skip-jump" part in the second "verse" of Coming Home Again (I don't know anything about music theory so forgive me if I don't know what I'm talking about), that little wholesome bit that served as inspiration through my exam period.
If I recall correctly, Chlorine has a different kind of feel compared to Coming Home Again and Sweetwater Crocodile (read: Coming Home Again 2 ;>). Kind of wonder about the story behind that

Good to hear XD
Well Chlorine is its own thing, it was written as a boss battle between two characters who used to be friends, you can kinda picture it as the hero entering the villain's arena (0:00), they say a few lines before the battle starts (0:28), they exchange blows before there's a break where they argue about why they're fighting (1:24), then the battle resumes (1:43), hits a climax before one of them lands the killing blow (2:40). I like my music to tell a story :3
