Being a respected and powerful person in Hell was a chore, making one bored with the hierarchy. But it was a sweet temptation for Nat to feed off the power of the sinners trapped in her home world: She gained more strength from the forced labor of winnowing and serving mortals trapped in the circle of the Gluttony. If she attempted to refuse advances, a flogging with steel chains and a scythe awaited.
However, once she regained her magical abilities, she could travel to the human world, the land of the mortals. Here she found her existence much more interesting and fun. I think it's pretty clear that there's a lot of fun to be had here. As she adjusted to being in this wonderful world, she became a more timid and lazy lady, but without losing her faintly visible gesture in her character. Life is a pleasure!
