We here have a reference for a male gold dragon in my world. This one in particular is Nelneras.

Raised by humans, Nelneras came to care for those around him. They were simple farmers, he was the joy and delight of their life. The dragon over time, pulled his weight just like their other children, often shapechanging into a draft horse to plow the fields. (although after an incident where he saw some shiny goods worth hoarding, he accidentally ruined the work he'd set about doing, running about in the chase of such treasure.)

Now, he's obsessed with dragon lore and ancient history, spending his time as some sort of archeologist. If there is an ancient dragon ruin or tome, you can find this dragon getting to work. The scar over his eye is rumored to be from some battle with a fierce dragon, of which he proved the better. The gold dragon likes to smirk and relish in the praise of such work, but forgets to mention he ACTUALLY got it from a falling book to the eye.

This dragon is the age of 125.

In a future story, he might be working for one certain dragoness named Endrerros, or mortals might know her as The Enchanted Ruby. He is helping her in the process of deciphering some ancient dragon ruins that speak of when the soul of dragonkind might return.
