Here is an assignment I did for school that involve character design. We had to take an action, a profession and an animal and merge the three together into a unique character.

I ended up with a badger mechanic in a climbing pose. This guy probably went through four or five different revisions before I decided on this style - due to me feeling it had the best silhouette. =) The Buddy name was added at the last minute.

I wish I could have spent more time on this... I'm considering doing another drawing of him in the future with a look of an animation cell. We'll have to see! I want to take my hand at doing more character designs as I found this to be quite a rewarding project.

Critiques are welcome. Common responses I've gotten is that he comes off as a little feminine, which is probably due to the shoulder/hip ratio and the poofy chest - but yes I would really like to improve so critiques are absolutely welcome.
