Tl;dr: "Magic" comes from a substance called "Mana", with each "power" coming from a different hue on a color spectrum. CMY(K) and RBG(W) are special (forces of the universe VS states of matter). There is a certain hierarchy to how one gains & perfects their use of Magic. Mana is dangerous, almost alive, and can cause physical stress to those to manage to use it.
