I feel this is appropriate, given the scare I had about a week ago. This computer's PSU exploded. Luckily, that was the /only/ thing that needed to be replaced. Pyromon is now back up and running as smoothly as she used to.
"Pyromon" is a project computer named after a RP character of mine way back in 2004. That was when the project started, too. Originally, it was a Compaq Deskpro running Windows for Workgroups. I eventually upgraded it to Windows 2000. Back in the day, I used it to stealthily stay online while in my bedroom -- because IRC was just that addicting.
After the Compaq Deskpro builds failed, it was moved to a custom built system. It had a 133MHz processor with 64MB of EDO RAM. That's right, EDO. That eventually fried, but I scored a second one of the exact same build. In 2006, I upgraded it to 233MHz and 96MB of RAM. That's the one I kept to this day.
I've been working on modifying some elements of the Windows GUI, as you can see. I need to reapply some of the changes, however.
As for the wallpaper, I claim no credit for the artwork. I can't draw. And anyone who knows me in person knows that the name in the bottom right corner of that picture isn't even mine.
Song playing is E-Type's new single "Back 2 Life".
