He does get two more familiars in the manga--a baby dragon and a sexy older dragon that I think becomes quite the bearish dad-human. I'm praying they'll show up in season two of the anime (which is confirmed), or a later season if more are promised. Otherwise I may just get the manga and take comfort in that.
I'm with both of you. I keep rewatching because it's so comforting, gentle, and feel-good. I don't deny the drama and pleasure that others get from "better" series, but Campfire Cooking is truly becoming one of my top animes for how warm and comforted it makes me feel afterward. I pray we'll be seeing the second season soon, and maybe even getting a third or more...
