Okay, so three days ago, a YouTube channel called Mr. Azul posted a meme called “no ammo” it’s basically the bunny character named Carl trying to kill Rinny, only to realize that the gun isn’t loaded. Then a laugh followed. In the original video, the laugh wasn’t there. This lead me to a rabbit hole of a series called Pretty Blood.
Anybody that watched Happy Tree Friends back roughly around middle school would know that the cute characters in this show are usually killed for the sake of making us laugh, whether it’s a dangerous hazard, or Flippy, who kills people because of his PTSD caused by war flashbacks, which is true because he is a war veteran. In Pretty Blood, the characters are brutally tortured by Rinny, the main character who happens to be a sadistic psychopath who watches her friends die as a way to get off. Now Pop makes sure to keep Cub out of danger, but Rinny just straight up killed Nappy, her own daughter, as well as her husband the wiki will call “Mangy.”
Yeah, Happy Tree Friends may be Jackass cranked up to eleven and made for furries, but Pretty Blood makes it a preschool show I originally thought it was until I saw the pickle kill somebody. Looking into the fandom, there’s only a small amount of fans that make content out of it, and it isn’t very toxic at all so far. Other fandoms I’ve been into like BFDI or My Singing Monsters have a ton of people who are into it but they’re huge compared to Pretty Blood.
In conclusion, I wanna thank Mr. Azul for providing me with memes, wholesome Marill line content, and luring me into this miniature fandom of an underrated series. If you wanna check out the series, it’s on Newgrounds and the YouTube channel Little Cute Thing, though the latter doesn’t have the entire series, some videos got taken down because they violated terms of service, but reuploads exist!
