My favorite type f snow plow too. Contraptions like these were instrumental in keeping the lines that ran through the Western Sierra Nevada Range open. They're quite spectacular to watch in action too.

yes, they took out the traction motors and left the prime mover inside, so it functions as the powerplant for the plow.

Funny to see these all bright and shiny. I visited my mom in Roseville Ca, and they had 6 blowers lined up for Donner pass storm that was coming the day I left. A Up worker that came to the RR where I work said they took over 2 hours to pry the doors open, and beat the hinge with a sledge hammer 2 years ago cause they rusted shut. Needless to say they got their act together!(Oh and these were still beat to S***( ..

I think there's one in Northtown (Twin Cities), I know there's one in North Dakota, so it's possible.
