This was drawn in Eric Schwartz's book which didn't have a specific theme attached. While casting about for an idea at the convention a fellow wearing this inflatable sumo costume walked by and I was left dumbstruck for a moment. Of all the weird things I've seen at conventions this was one of the most inexplicable... just completely random, and for giving me that moment of benign WTF amusement I offer my thanks to whomever it was that wore it.
