Classic horror tale - a man becomes a monster due to some unfortunate circumstances. Then of course goes to his lover, but alas - his speech is not that of a human, his form is monstrous. In a scuffle he hurts his love and has to flee... to live out the rest of his days, clinging to the shreds of humanity he still has.
