Amnyst's Hilltop Posturing
Picked by Patron
Ankhrea as part of my Patreon 5th Anniversary celebration, this picture of Amnyst the Zoroark was fully finished! And goodness did it turn out dramatic as heck. @.@’
The pose allowed for so much depth and effects that I had a field day with everything. =w= Now this picture is way too overly epic for the composition. =w= But that’s a fun traits of macro artists~
You can view an alternative version of this on my Patreon at: https://www.patreon.com/posts/amnys.....lltop-72557200 !
Done as a sketch on paper, scanned in, and painted in Photoshop CS5.

You don't often see a loom which isn't directly over the subject and this one allows us to see a lot more while still making the loom clear.
The upper portion of the image looks like the clouds in the sky might be on the same layer, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's intentional and it gives it a Van Gogh "starry night" type vibe. I also like how the haze and the clouds in both parts of the image emphasize her size and that her breasts are so large that they're blowing them away.
As for the rest of the image, her claws look so well polished and shiny like she takes good care of them. I enjoy how her tail is in the background and doing a loom of its own. And I like the inclusion of wind turbines because you don't often see them, although i don't know what else to say about those.
Excellent as always!

Yah, I love doing "ground level" PoVs where the horizon is the bottom of the canvas. ^.^
I think the clouds all were on the same layer, yes. I just did them in such a way to make sense. I really should have done some behind her but I was in a hurry I think. @.@
Thanks so much about all the detail comments! ^.^ I really appreciate them.
Wind turbines I love adding because they are about the only true tall structure you'd find out in the country side to show vertical scale. >w>

That would make any macro look even bigger than they already are after all. 😉
sometimes mistakes are better than what was intended and this seems to be an example of that.
You're welcome. Review based comments like this probably help you a lot more than simple ones do.
That makes sense, and it also indicates that wind power seems to be fairly common in this particular world.

I actually had a concept similar to this thought out but after I drew it I didn't really care for it and ended up scrapping it.
It was a mega mortal Morpeko that used a hamster wheel to power a passenger train she owned. Visually I couldn't get it to look good and it was kinda weird because of how vertical the concept was.
