Okies, copypasta-ing my random thoughts...
"I'm thinking desert village dweller. Might be the background colour making me think that, or the jerboa-ish tail. A place with sort of primitive but solid buildings, like Mos Eisley in the Star Wars universe. A bit run-down, but the folks there tend to stick together when trouble comes along, in the form of desert raiders or bandits.
There are a lot of places in the desert full of old ruins and strange structures, like some ancient civilisation used to exist there many centuries ago, but something happened and they got destroyed, and the shifting sands of the desert buried the remnants of their buildings. But occasionally sandstorms will uncover some again, and that's when folks like her go in and explore, searching for anything valuable that can be sold to travelling merchants passing through, or perhaps items of use to the village folks.
One of the people of the village is a stranger from a distant land, who came to study the ruins, paying the scavengers extra for any unusual artefacts or books or documents they can bring him that might hint at the purpose of those ancient places..."
Maybe if she's a noble working undercover so to speak (maybe her family keeps her sheltered, so no-one knows what she looks like, but she keeps escaping), that could add a further twist to the story, especially if those she works with don't know it, but maybe some villain figures out who she really is and plots to kidnap her for ransom. Could be a nice side complication to a main plot :)
Basically just something I made up on first seeing the work in progress version of this. Your art always inspires things in me if I focus on it for long enough. One of many reasons why I love it! :)

Thanks. :3
TBH, I'm trying to get away from overdetailing everything. I don't have a lot of time or energy these days. Not only that but frankly, a lot of the AI stuff I've been seeing lately is technically better than my work. Just makes me wonder what the point is anymore. I'd rather focus on coming up with interesting ideas. Maybe branch out into animation. I've been studying Grease Pencil and NPR stuff lately too. So you can, maybe, expect a pivot in that direction. We'll see.

You know, lately I often thought about you and a few other artists of your kind who put so much efforts in their work for a real stunning result. Won't hide you that I believe younger generations probably won't make any difference with AI art, but WE, your long-time fans, we just KNOW. And in fact, it somehow personnally makes me even more admirative of your art.
I certainly understand you don't feel like putting that much effort in it anymore, but whatever you do, your loyal and dedicated followers are savoring every line and every tone. Just tell us that you still enjoy doing what you do, and we will be absolutely blessed

That is really lovely to hear. ♥
It might just be that I'm in a lull and I'll get my mojo back once things calm down. I dunno. We'll see. But for now, I'm just not feelin a whole lot of energy for high detail. Don't get me wrong,. I still have passion for art regardless. I can't imagine that going away. It's a fundamental part of who I am. So there's that.

"Yet." That's what concerns me. Imagine where the tech is going to be five years from now, a decade out, two decades. I'm afraid I'll be obsolete. I've been doing this all my adult life. I don't even know what I'll do if that happens. I keep hearing that there will always be a market for human-made stuff but... well.... I guess we'll see.
