Sonia Mata, Australian of South African descent, university student, and also a secondary character in Henshin Sisters, being best friends (with benefits) with Anja Kendrick. After getting involved with the paranormal superheroics in town, Sonia was sick of not being able to contribute much, so Anja managed to get some information from a dubious source about a potion that would give her friend some kind of powers. Said potion's ingredients included the blood of at least five monster-folk from the Kingdom of Gaia. Sonia decided to drink the end result, and to her astonishment, it gave her the ability to transform into a Gaian lioness, along with other benefits as well, including superpowers she doesn't yet quite understand or reliably control...
