Here is a second rescue scenario with someone in need. Here, a shootout aftermath leaves a pitbull in recovery from the ordeal, prompting an encounter with an unlikely ally.Bull Rescue #2Venado had no idea how long he's been hiding behind the deteriorating wall but with the recent attempt on his life, he was not about to go quietly, especially when he has a Concealed Carry permit, a combat pistol, and his right to defend himself.
What started out as a normal drive to work for the red-nosed pitbull suddenly turned into an attempted carjacking when two young thugs in hoodies waltzed up to the Ford Mustang Foxbody. Masks covered their faces, leaving them virtually unidentifiable. But after confronting the duo, they draw guns at the dog, demanding his car. But their alleged victim also happens to be armed, and he draws a combat pistol of his own. However, the Pitbull makes the first move purely in self-defense, shooting one of the assailants in the arm and scrambling for cover amidst return fire.
The return fire lasts for a few minutes with several breaks in between. A couple of police officers in a Ford Crown Victoria arrive to assist the pitbull with the remaining suspects. But a Good Samaritan also enters the picture unexpectedly.
~~~~~Taurus was on another exploration of his own when he heard gunshots ringing out. Seeing the Ford Crown Victoria police car charging towards the scene, the bull breaks into a jog, muttering to himself, "Must be serious… maybe I can help in some way."
Upon reaching the scene of the shootout, Taurus observes the police exchanging gunfire with a pair of armed carjackers. Off to the bull's right is a red Ford Mustang Fox body with the driver side door open. And across from him is the Ford Crown Victoria police car with two officers returning fire behind the interceptor. Farther ahead, Taurus observes what appears to be muscular male pitbull returning fire as well, hiding behind a wall to avoid enemy fire. While Taurus spectates the exchange, he begins to subtly creep his way over to the armed assailant to surprise him and help out. Hopefully, he won't be detected.
With another break in the gun battle, Taurus rolls the dice and blindsides the attacker in a hard side tackle, knocking the gunman completely off his game and sending his gun flying out of his grasp. Upon closer inspection, Taurus notices that this assailant is a hooded wolf.
Using his body weight to his advantage, Taurus begins to pin the wolf beneath him, only to receive a headbutt in return that rattles him. Right as the wolf slugs him in the face with a right hook, the bull backs off… only to knock the wolf out with a strong kick to the face.
In his adrenaline-fueled stupor, Taurus realizes too late that he's already been spotted by the cops and they set their guns on him, leaving the bull to slowly raise his hands in the air. However, behind them is a protest, "Hey, don't arrest him! He's helped us out!"
Peering from the wall, Venado reveals himself to the police, emerging from his cover spot. After directing the police officers to the downed gunmen, Taurus is released and cleared of any wrongdoing. But the dog waves the bull over and disappears again behind the wall.
Intrigued and suspicious, Taurus hesitantly makes his way over to meet the dog, and Taurus whistles in surprise upon getting a closer look; the red-nosed pitbull is heavily built and muscular with pale blue fur throughout his body. But he is also shirtless, showing off his ivory colored chest and his abs. Seeing the dog up close and personal, Taurus comments, "Man, you seem like a bodybuilder with all that muscle mass packed on you. I'm Taurus, by the way."
"Venado. Pleasure to meet you." A brief handshake later and the two begin bonding. And after assessing the pitbull, Taurus points his thumb over his shoulder, offering to give the dog a lift, "Hey, want me to drive you home? It's better than you passing out behind the wheel."
Venado considers the offer for a moment before eventually accepting the deal, "Eh, why not? After that poorly executed gun fight, I wouldn't mind. I'm still in good condition to drive but after almost being carjacked, I think you should drive - helps me avoid detection."
"Ehh, I suppose so." Taurus reluctantly agrees, despite Venado's assessment.
~~~~~"So, what happened back there? I'm surprised the cops arrived while you were taking care of things." Taurus inquired. The 4.9L Windsor V8 rumbles at low revs during the car ride down the road; at this moment, the bull began to inquire about what led up to the firefight.
Venado begins to reveal, "I work as a part-time mechanic apart from my modeling job, so that's where ai was going. I thought taking an alleyway would cut my time down but instead it attracted danger. Then a couple of masked bozos waltz up to me and demand my car. I wasn't taking any of it."
Taurus insinuates, "That was pretty bold of you to confront them head-on like that, even with a police presence. You're one of those brave souls who'll face danger head on.
The pitbull passenger beside him agrees and adds, "And so are you, Taurus! You weren't armed, yet you took down that last guy like it was nothing!" Shaking his head, Venado sighs, "It was a weak gunfight and overall battle, in my opinion. These punks nowadays can't shoot anything."
"Not only that; had you not spoken up, I would've been arrested by the police for sure. I was just helping out." After listening to Taurus recant and directing him onto a freeway, the pitbull shrugs, "No good deed goes unrecognized. And why would the cops arrest a Good Samaritan? It makes absolutely zero sense to me. Might as well be a vigilante if that's the case."
"Vigilante, no. Absolutely no." The bull promptly declined the suggestion made, reasoning with the dog, "Taking the law into my own hands is something I simply cannot do. I am not a police officer, though I would like to become a firefighter someday."
"A firefighter? You want to be a firefighter?" Venado's ears perk up in surprise at hearing this. He brushes the choice off, "Why be a firefighter if it's boring off-duty?"
Merging onto the expressway after letting some traffic pass, the bull snorts, "Honestly, I never really thought about it myself. I guess you could say it's some sort of calling for me, I guess?"
"Or maybe, it's something about that firefighting job that attracted and drew you to it." Venado points out to the bull. Perking up in realization, Taurus elaborates, "Maybe it's because I want to help people escape danger. I've already done that countless times before. Yeah, that's it - I want to help people."
A sudden pounding on his shoulder causes Taurus to dangerously grumble, "Don't do that; I'll lose control of this car!"
Venado simply laughs off the threat, seeing it all in good faith. He assures Taurus, "It's all good, Taurus! I appreciate the ride too!" He then considers the firefighting bit and adds, "If you want to be a firefighter, that is your choice - go for it! I think you'll make a great firefighter, but as far as what happens while you guys are not on duty, it's probably boring."
Taurus laughs off Venado's claim about the firefighting job being boring when off-duty. In an attempt to open the dog's eyes, Taurus invites him, "Why not visit a fire station and take a look around for a bit? A firefighter's job certainly isn't boring like you think."
"Hmm, maybe I will consider it. Maybe, but not fully. I'll let you know." Venado finalized. He directs Taurus off the freeway upon the exit coming up, followed by the third-generation Mustang disappearing into the horizon.
