I love the chrome on the outside of a classic car. But sometimes the best chrome can be found under the hood. Take this 1957 Ford Thunderbird, for example. I love how the sun bursts off the air filter cover and surrounding components.

A few years ago I saw this late '50s Dodge with a 440 engine in it. The air cleaner was an orgasm of chrome.

I had a 1959 Morris Minor once upon a time. I could literally crawl into the engine compartment and close the bonnet. 948CC engine.
