Vinncent let out a sigh as he watched his young apprentices house from afar. His keen vision letting him look through the windows to see Strezlin smiling and laughing with his mate and a few friends
He let out a chuckle. Seems only yesterday that small sergal was dropped of on his doorstep, scared and hungry. Now look at him.
Part of Vinncent wanted to make his way down that hill, knock on that door, and hug him. But as he held his arm, shame clouded his mind
“Soon… soon” he said to himself, before turning and walking away, seemingly vanishing from sight

Also threw together a little short story blurb for it. Maybe one day the poor serg will reveal to his apprentice he is still alive... but today is not that day.
