The way I picture it, since there isn't a gun to contain that rather large shell and damp the recoil, and assuming that there was something hard enough held in the rubber band to sufficiently impact the shell and set it off, it would trigger a huge release of energy including a very loud noise, a large release of heat, a blinding flash, and the possible explosion of the shell, sending it backwards and the bullet forwards, causing a lot of damage to her, and sending the bullet on a completely unpredictable trajectory. Since there's essentially nothing for the bullet to push back against, it's unlikely that it would make it very far. All just basic physics, really.
