Barabbas Meorot Qimron

The meek younger brother of Dr. Qimron, Barabbas lives in his sister's shadow, exploited as bookkeeper, secretary, and private porter. He really is no less clever than his more famous and successful older sister but he is to meek to not incline himself to be a follower. He has a fantastic memory and an intuitive calculation skill. He gets dragged by the collar on to the ill faded archeological expedition to the toumbs of Mu.
Barabbas has a hopeless infatuation with Ophelia, which he wishes he had the courage to act on. This attraction was further stifled by his sister. When Barabbas tried to confide his feelings for Ophelia, she covencnced him that Ophelia, "is only interested in females for romantic company, you twit!" Hoping that this would dissuade him and return his focus to his work.
This did little to dampen his feelings but much to locking his tongue on the subject. So he suffers a love he believes to be hopeless in quiet puritanical silence.
Barabbas has a terrible habit of chewing on things. Beeswax, sealing wax, and little stripps of paper are the most frequent targets. Other things like tacks, coins, or screws are also targets. His favorite taste is envelope glue. His habit of sending and mailing letters is rooted in this.

For my therian people there are only a few true species. The rodent people have different ethnic groups like squirrel, rat, mouse. They can mix within these groups and the children express more uncommon species. Barabbas and his sister came from mouse/chipmunk parents. Making them resemble species that have a combination of these traits.
