So... this is a story that I actually wrote a while back, a couple years ago I think. I was original planning on writing a full-fledged song to go with it, but I ended up not getting around to that and just kinda leaving this on the back-burner as a result. Fast forward to this month, and I was working on another story that wasn't particularly going well. I didn't particularly want to finish it, but I felt bad about going so long without posting anything (yet again), so I just reached back and grabbed this story, tacking on a quick ending so that it lined up more with my current plans for the future. Looking back at it, I'm honestly glad it didn't just get lost to time - I honestly think I did a pretty good job with it, so I'm glad I'm now getting to share it with y'all. Hope you enjoy it!
