The Cardinals around here are rather flighty and the males usually hide the instant I try to take their picture. This female has spotted me and seems a bit curious about why I'm taking her photo.

The autofocus on my camera was having trouble with the snow falling all around, so I had to switch to manual focus. It also required a 500mm lens to cover the distance.
