Something I wanted to play around with during my free time this month - a room designed for Maraschino, in the style of cozy pixel art top-down style games like Stardew Valley and Sun Haven. I always go nuts decorating my house in games like that, and there's never enough space and furniture for me. lol

The challenge for this was keeping everything simple and cartoony, since it had to stay small and fit on the page, and keep the feel of cute pixel art. (I was originally going to do half traditional/half digital so that I could expand the room beyond the limits of my paper size, but ultimately decided I really just wanted to make it all by hand.) Once I let go of the urge to make it all hyper detailed it actually got pretty fun to keep adding stuff.

I did draw Maraschino separately so I wouldn't cover up the actual room, and I threw a pink light filter over it for atmosphere. Thinking about uploading the original unedited version though too, if there is interest in it. (Perhaps to Scraps.)
