Following from this journal of mine, I decided to try sketching in a different way from usual. I hate how my lineart looks so plain and amateurish compared to some of the other stuff I see around here, and I'm feverishly trying to figure out what I'm doing differently.
I neglect gestures too much because of my inexperience with them, opting instead to just make discrete outlines. This observation was after having a good look around here and seeing what some actual good lineart is "supposed" to look like (or rather, what I prefer). Nice and depthy, with exclamation marks and music notes.
So what do you think? Better? Worse? Suggestions?
