*Before dating*
After an attack on the stadium, Sonic finds out Ash was caught in between a collapsing part of the building and he used his spin dash to dig his way to Ash, finding the mongoose fading in and out of consciousness, but thanks to the person who he helped protect keeping him awake, he was conscious enough to see Sonic and in the moment confess his feelings to Sonic.

Sonic found it confusing but and this moment he had already had a crush on Ash so.... Once to safety and healed up, could this be a chance for the hedgehog?
