Sooooo gorgeous and wonderfully done… I know I’ve already gushed quite a bit about how incredible this piece really came out, but I really just love it so much! You definitely went all out with the realistic-looking details and textures in this one, and it looks so amazing! I love the look of their dresses with all the folds, ruffles, ribbons, and buttons, how soft and smooth the rendering work on our two ladies and the background is, how pretty and bright-looking the eyes are, the little snacks and goodies in the box and picnic basket that they brought, and the nice contrast of the bright lighting with the shadows where the sunlight and the shade would fall! The posing is so beautifully done too, the way they’re sitting/laying close together and Kira has a wing around Amelia to help shield her eyes from the glare of the sun as she leans in to feed her a piece of the food they brought, I just love cute, sweet, wholesome moments like that between close friends and/or romantic couples, and I think you really captured it perfectly! A picnic lunch in a garden really sounds like a lovely time, and this piece really gives off that calm, peaceful atmosphere, laying on the soft green grass, taking shelter in the shade under the tree as a reprieve from the heat of the sun, and just having a great time together with a good friend. The way you draw Kira every time is just so beautiful, I really love the look of the asymmetrical bobbed hairstyle that you give her, and the black and purple pinafore style outfit with the buttons suits her so well! Your Amelia is just so delightfully adorable as always too, wearing her hair down in a much looser kind of style combined with her ruffled blue and purple dress is a very cute look for her! Again, absolutely stunning work with this one, I’ve really loved every piece that I’ve gotten from you though I think this one is definitely one of my personal favorites~ 🥰🥰🥰

It was really quite an honor to be able to ask for you to draw something like this, and I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the idea too! I can definitely tell that you tried quite a few new things with your style and some of the techniques you used for this one, and I think they paid off really well! The way you do such realistic-looking textures and details in a way that feels natural and captures the atmosphere of the piece is one of the things I love most about your art, though to be fair I really just love absolutely everything that you do, haha~ Still, the improvements you’ve been making with your art as of lately are definitely very clear to see, and I hope that your skills will keep growing more and more with time and practice as you continue to experiment and refine things!
