these are two little fluffy new arrivals i hatched a day ago, they are japanese quail but am going to be hatching a few more over the next couple of months as they have been sooo much fun to watch develop inside the egg and then have them hatch.
Still holding out hope that the last two eggs will hatch but getting fertile eggs through the post always has down sides.

yea, the problem is they're SOOO expensive! plus they SHIP the eggs out to you...i tried to hatch 12 eggs a while back and our dumbass mailman put the box in a Wal-Mart bag and tied it to our mailbox, (out by the highway in the baking summer sun)instead of walking it up to our front porch, and none of the eggs made it... what a waste of money...
damn thankfully i live in a flat and the posty has to make the effort to get up the stairs lols but buttons are pricey i have found eBay as the best place to find cheep quail eggs for hatching but I'm getting more eggs next time 12 with a top hatch rate of 75% (if your lucky) just isn't enough to start a good breeding project.
