Welcome to the world of The Divide! It takes place in a parallel universe of our own, where the Eurasian continent is separated by a fence that marks the border between human civilization and vast uncharted lands. Not a single person who ventured there has ever returned. In this universe, The Divide is a cause of strong social and political issues. We follow a university student who gets to experience these issues first-hand and, as a result, becomes the first person in history to uncover the truth about the world beyond the border. This student teams up with two residents from the unknown lands to change the course of history forever. Beware! The story is centred around a developing romantic relationship between a human and a dragon. If that is not in your interest, then do not read!

Dear reader, what you are reading here is a preview of my upcoming book ‘The Divide’, which I aim to publish by the summer of 2024. The prologue and first four chapters are publicly accessible, but the full book will be a paid version. However, I still want to give you the option to choose to immerse yourself in the complete story without making a purchase. The draft of the complete book is available for free in my scraps folder. However, bear in mind that the draft was written without any prior experience in literature, back in 2021. The quality is so low that the text strongly detracts from the experience. I have learned many lessons since I finished the draft, both in literature, love and life. I will make great effort to live up to the standards of the world of literature and deliver a book that is worth publishing. The writing quality of this book will be roughly in line with the preview that you are reading here. For now, the preview is more or less finished. Where I have previously rewritten every single line for the revision, the focus will now be on finding the last remaining grammatical errors and addressing the weaker points of the story. If you would be willing to give me a helping hand in this, feel free to send me a note! Any feedback is highly appreciated.
The full release will feature a more elaborate author’s note, but for now I want to make clear that the story takes place in an alternative version of Europe. I tried to keep it disconnected from the real-world affairs as much as I could, and my own opinions are not expressed through the story. Any odd interpretations and references are exclusively for entertainment purposes. Also note that the entire story is SFW, but contains a few swearwords and some mild violence.
