Nur usually doesn't put too much thought into his clothing (except scarfs), but every now and then his moms (his society is polygamous so he has two) force him to dress nicely for important occasions... Guess he'll just have to deal with it and suffer in silence! :P
Sometimes I am a detail-addicted gremlin, and I love coming up with new clothing and armor designs for my setting.
I really wanted to flesh out more the appearance, fashion and traditions of the different catfolk factions of my setting, and I decided to start with Nur's people, the north-western Tol'Kahir, who inhabit the cold deserts bordering with the great mountain ranges in the west of Sirath. Red garments are extremely common among his people, as well as (sometimes ridiculously tall) pointy hats. The pouches around his chest are meant to store projectiles for guns and slings, arrow tips and other items that can be useful on the battlefield. The more decorated the pouches are, the higher is the status of the wearer, so they often serve as status symbols.
Isn't pointless lore fun?!? :P

Blazey's getup is very much function over form. he wears only essentials and nothing more. Bandana serves as a disguised sling for a ranged weapon, spear has a two point leather sling to ride over his shoulder, loincloth protects the most sensitive area, leather hip flap so the blade of the spear can rest harmlessly against his thigh without causing injury, then an assortment of small pouches and a backpack for storage.
Gotta stay light while hunting, lest your prey outmanouver you or escape you!
Nur's gotta obviously be better protected since it's much harder to dodge bullets or arrows than it is to dodge angry wildlife, and much harder to recover taking a hit too in most cases.
another thing to account for is the region. the impression i get off Nur is that of a desert civilisation so it also makes sense to run light to avoid overheating. Meanwhile Blaze's warmth comes more from his dense fur and thick fat instead.
