Continuing my dragons in nature series, inspired by the landscapes of the PNW and surrounding areas. This one is set just near Mount St. Helens, looking North from the Johnston Ridge Observatory.

Accompanying poem:
"The rain had come, sweeping low to the mountainsides
It cooled the air and carried the scent of petrichor on the winds
The mountain was still warm from the sun, the flowers sweet and comforting
The trees whispered welcome home"
