$100/$1200
Hey guys, me again
So there was a few situations with Jake's work over the past few weeks that basically lead to a total mental breakdown for him. He almost killed himself due to stress, depression, anxiety, ect.
I almost lost him.
He had to take time off of work, he took 2 weeks off, but only had about 7 hours of PTO so all that time off is unpaid.
But like I said, I almost lost him
Nothing is worth his life.
I told him I would try to earn the money to pay our bills, he is basically not getting a paycheck this time around, and this is when all of our bills are due.
We need right around $1200 to keep ourselves from losing anything.
I guess I should say what's happening.
Jake was beginning to feel some burn out because he has been working SO MUCH over time over the past month, so he asked his boss, instead of scheduling him for 3, 14 hour shifts, maybe they could schedule him for 4,10 hour shifts and if he needs to stay late every once in a while he will.
His boss didn't tell him no, his boss went to his co worker and told her what he asked for, his co worker came to him and told him no.
This means his boss has been discussing his personal business with his co worker.
This stressed him out a lot, not only because he had been told no, but also because now he knows he can't trust his boss. He tried to contact his boss's boss, and even one step higher than that, AND HR, and no one answered to talk to him.
He continued going to work each day, trying to make it through these 14 hour shifts with horrible burn out, and in his work, that's not a good thing, he was finding himself snapping at his clients, knowing that they didn't deserve that he got extremely depressed.
So now he was dealing with burn out, depression, and anxiety all at once.
Anyways, he came home one day and told me he had parked at the side of the road, seriously considering driving the car off the cliff that he was parked by.
The look on his face was a little chilling to say the least, he just looked numb, dead inside.
That's when we decided he needed a break to get his head right.
He has always suffered with depression, and the medications don't agree with his body so he can't do much about it. We just have to make things as comfortable for him as possible.
So I told him to try to not stress about bills, which was something that added to his anxiety and depression.
I told him I would try to take on commissions and earn the money that he is missing from not working, so he can take a break and get his head right.
I love this man you guys, I didn't want to lose him over something as stupid as money.
So anyways I am taking on commissions, I don't care how many I have to take on to earn the money, but we need the money pretty much ASAP, over the next week or so, as bills start being due in about a week.
If you want to order a commission please send me a note before sending money
If you wanna help us out by donating my paypal is deannamentzer[at]ymail.com
If you can't help us out with money, maybe spread this around and see if anyone else can~
I really appreciate you guys, and I hope you understand why I am doing this.
I have had a couple of people ask why we haven't started a GoFundMe for this, our last GoFundMe was.... not that successful, we did get enough to pay our rent which was great, but this was with a lot of help from our families spreading it around.
Jake doesn't want my family knowing about this because he wants to look like the "strong bread winner" (I know it's dumb but it's something he worries about)
We can't let his family know how close they were to losing him because his mom is currently fighting breast cancer, and last week they found out his dad has prostate cancer, he doesn't want to add the stress on them.
