(still fucking around w the 1920s/1930s ligne claire-esque style, punishing but fun once u get the hang of it. requires a lot of bold precise and extremely conservative linework which has always been the antithesis to my normal "sketchy" style but i totally get why franco-belgian cartoonists at the time utilized it to the extent they did)

regardless i still want to shade/render/etc. so i'll probably just build upon this initial shape/linework for more complex pieces. good to know that i can reduce him to a relatively simple style though, just in case i get any ideas abt crafting a visual narrative or whatever
