Recently listened to 'War of the Worlds' narrated by David Tennent. (quite delightful)
One of the martian cylinders landed in Scotland, on a small farm up in the highlands of that place.
When the martians opened their landing craft in preparation for the invasion efforts, they were met by a Scotswoman. Small in stature, big in belly, dressed as a highborn lady.
She sat upright, unafraid of the terrifying invaders from another world.
She wasnt in that crater with them.
