Soon, his laughter turned into mysterious whispers, his antics grew strangely poetic, and he felt a peculiar yearning for a journey to the enigmatic realm of Carcosa. The line between fiction and reality blurred as Max embarked on a misadventure that even Sam couldn't predict, all under the cryptic influence of a book that held secrets beyond imagination.
(While I'm at it, I strongly feel like this would somehow have made for a funny episode on the TV show. I think the humour of the show itself would fit the scenario SO well!)
