Blumure Murduesong is a teenage boy from the Capital of the Immutable Church. A safe haven for humanity in a world of corrupting darkness. But one day, Blumure manages to escape the capital during the perfect moment, the golden hour of dusk. In that moment, the darkness of night and the majesty of sunlight mingled to transform him into Blumure, Shepherd of Dragons. A draconic sheep based on the Merino sheep.

I tried to capture that moment of release, of climax, of ecstasy. All chains and bindings shed, shattered, broken. And becoming what you always wanted to be. Having that desire fulfilled by the fullness of reality.

I tried using as many different types of pens to draw this woolly sheepy dragon boy as I could, to really make the textures and lines pop! I'd love to do more illustrations like this in the future.
