The Mysteries of New Life
To the current TLKFAA contest. Main color theme - blue
I should start from that contest theme was so much inspirationable. First I wanted to draw Simba and Kiara under the stars but that theme is not original at all - we have tons of art like this...
So I decided to draw Nala and Sora - cause there's not so much arts with them all around. And it's kinda only canon New Life artwork I ever drew - Nala is actually heavy with Kiara when Sora visits Pridelands. Though game creators left her model as slim as usual - I think they just won't to left some more questions for kids who's playing the game.
I think Sora was curious why is she have rounded belly - I don't think he know where's babies came from - he's too innocent to know ^_^
I think she explains to him that her baby sleeps inside her - that's why her belly so round :)
I know that when he visited Pride Rock everything was in ruins, but I drew grass cause 1) I won't to draw naked rock 2) I think that was after final battle with Scar's Ghost and Prideland slowly began to restore.

In fairness to Sora, he has been to alternative worlds where the *ahem* "standard method" may or may not apply. (Wonderland, 100 Acre Wood, Halloween Town, Neverland, etc).
Sora: "So, where do lion cubs come from?"
Nala: "Well. . . When a mommy lion and a daddy lion-"
Sora: "Oh, that one. Okay, say no more, I know the rest." *nuzzles*
