Reginald the Rat (Hero Forge) - Non-Canon/Pilot
Reginald the Rat, seen here in a drum major uniform of bright green, yellow, and gold highlights, is not a canon character in my universe; rather, he appears in the children's television show The Adventures of Drummer Dog, a show that seeks to educate youth on the basis of music while telling the story about the K-9 Circus (to which the titular character belongs in, playing a field drum, or rope-tensioned snare drum, in their marching band) and the villains who seek to end it, robbing the world of joy, fun, and happiness (it was a children's show, after all). The band is led by a dingo who not only serves as drum major, but also plays the trumpet himself (similar to Rolf the Wolf).
The character of Reginald leads the band playing for the rivals to K-9 Circus, Rodentia Circus, except he plays a trombone (not seen here). In the beginning, he was very strict, having had a drill sergeant for a father, and he carried that strict routine into his life as a circus bandleader. He insisted on having things done exactly on schedule, including rehearsals where the band would march around the big top, hence his catchphrase: "Five o'clock; time to march!" As the series progresses, however, he learns to be more flexible and open-minded towards others, who, in turn, seek to understand him better. So the show didn't just teach the basics of music and music theory; it also gave out some valuable life lessons.
The green bits were later changed to a darker shade green for the actual series; this uniform was just worn in the pilot episode (which originally did not air, but eventually surfaced on YouTube).
