This is a set of badges I did for Kanashimi_Sai from over in the LJ conbadges community. The first one is done in real media (marker, colored pencil, watercolor, gouche, ink) while the second one is digital (ink and photoshop).

I did two because I screwed up the watercolor background really bad on the first one and I didn't want to give anyone subpar work. I later was able to salvage the background somewhat by smearing white gouche over it in an attempt to make the crappiness recede a little bit. I think it definately could have been better, but in the end, I'm at least some form of satisfied with it.

The digital one was fun, and I liked taking a 'real media' touch to that as well. It was probably unnecessary, as she liked the first one just fine, but it had to be, so I could settle my disgruntled perfectionist inside. That and it makes for an interesting comparision. ;)
