Although "little", considerign Tanac is about 8 feet tall these birds are a decent size...

Qrooh seems to be a rather intelligent specimen and also a good judge of character as Tanac discovered since she will not approach anyone that has ill intent, perhaps the species has some low level empathic ability that helps it survive by sensing predators and dangers nearby.

Another thing of note is that Qrooh in particular seems to respond well to Tanac's native language, Katang Low Tongue, and mimic it quite well but does not respond to other languages such as humans or Caitians for example. Tanac has been able to teach Qrooh some simple commands to fetch some plant samples and small objects that might otherwise be out of reach or unsafe to get to. Although often Qrooh will bring gifts to Tanac on her own which range from leaves to pebbles or even feathers or insects, typically anythign that is either white or matches Tanac's fur color. This seems to be some bonding ritual these birds display with others of their species who aren't their mate. So despite being typically solitary these birds are capable of forming friendships that might be beneficial as an early warning system for danger or finding sources of food. A remarkable thing is they seem to form their own vocabulary of sounds which is different for each befriended individual, probably to keep competition as low as possible when it comes to food.
