Query: why is the magazine's base shaped like that, as opposed to being straight?

Completely straight down, or not have the semi rounded end? I sorta like the look of mags that are angled.

I apologize for the vagueness of the question; I was referring to the base, as opposed to its angle of connection with the firearm itself.

Ah, the handle type. I don't have a straight handle type in my parts library never was much of a fan on the SMG's that had straight handles, always liked the look of a pistol-esque handle opposed to a 'stick' looking handle. Its just personal preference is all.

Hah. It seems you and I are dancing around one another. I suppose I'll have to be as specific as possible.

At the base of the magazine, where the first bullet would go if one were to load it (and the last bullet to be fired), there is curvature. If one looks at the traditional STANAG magazine of the M16, it's got a flat base (to use an example).



And as an aside, the pistol grip's excellent. I see no fault in it.

Ah i misunderstood. I originally tried to give the magazine a straight edge that'd go up into the mag well but nothing looked right so i went with the base magazine i had originally fabricated for the model. I apologize if it causes a problem, I'm a bit challenged with some curves.
