It upsets me that I probably won't be able to do it once I graduate from this school...the process takes such a specific setup with all the chemicals and the press. :C Why can't it be as accessible as relief printing? Ugh...

i never got into litho much and only know about stone litho (which i've only observed at the college and local print studio) and offset litho (which my partner did for a commercial print company). what kind of plate and press was used for this?

We used an interesting process which involved exposing a transparent image onto a photosensitive aluminum plate, not unlike the process of exposing camera film. The plates, after developing them for a short time in a solution, have the positive of the image on them, and you roll ink onto the plate and print from there! It's a very simple process compared to stone lithography, which my class will be starting very soon (I'm scared, haha).

My college print studio just got a light sensitive box whatever it is (sadly I'm not in print this semester so I don't get to do the process :C ) But that looks great!
