I have drawn T H E B O Y with his new look from Rumble, and it might be the best thing I've done in a while!
The game itself is pretty fun and I like how fluffy they made him look!

They're pretty fun! I definitely recommend the original trilogy and Crash 4, which came out a few years ago. There's also a multiplayer MOBA/party game called Crash Team Rumble, which was fun but is on its way out, which is unfortunate because for the first time ever, it made Ripper playable in a non-karting game. That's actually what I based this one on!
As far as the whole backlash thing goes. A lot of people don't take context and intent into account. He wasn't created as a meanspirited jab towards the mentally ill. And apart from being a boss that you have to fight, he's not 'bullied' or otherwise treated negatively for being the way he is. Madness and insanity are recurring themes in the games and most of the characters are unhinged in some kind of way. Crash himself included. Ripper is just the most visually blatant example. And despite that, he's not handled any differently than the rest of the cast. (Apart from being the only one wearing a straitjacket!) He's just hanging out and doing the same things everyone else is doing. It's very cartoonish. The whole series is like a cartoon, and it's not meant to be taken seriously.
