Also, I didn't know the D&D cartoon was considered the most violent - what about He-Man? Wasn't there just as much "cartoon violence" as in the D&D cartoon? What about classic Tom and Jerry, where Tom regularly was beaten with mallets, hammers, bowling balls, or run over with grassmowers, etc.?
