In the later years of the Jedi Purge, Horkon came across a Force-sensitive named Marcus Starkiller and brought him into hiding for training. But Horkon and Marcus had been followed to Lamaredd by a Dark Acolyte known as Dar Ksin, during the ensuing battle, the dark warrior ruthlessly thrust her crimson blade through Zul’s heart. Struck with sadness and anger, Horkon attacked Dar, but she managed to escape. As Zul lay dieing at Horkon’s feet, he promised her that the dark side wouldn’t get the better of him. He now works along side his daughter and her husband in the fight against the Empire.
