Micro Survival Guide
Are you a pygmy compared to your surroundings?
Are you in a dangerous environment, or maybe you are actively suffering?
Do net fret, my fellow friend, for this guide will give you the tools to apply the best situational analysis skills wherever or whenever you exist!
The first thing you must actively consider is, how small are you?
This is one of the most important parameters that effect your ability to fulfill an unhindered life.
If you are too small, not even I can advise you in a way that can meaningfully assist you. So I shall assume you are at least big enough to influence your surroundings.
Section 1: Adventuring
This section is for if you are a micro lucky enough to have a shelter, but for some reason you must leave your safe area. Or if you are looking for somewhere safe.
1. ALWAYS avoid being close to many macros.
2. If the grass is taller than you, hide in it. Unless it is part of a path, which you may be better off exposing yourself and taking a chance.
3. Don't be an idiot running around on roads or trails.
Now is where you face the most important choice. You must eventually get the attention of the nicest giant you can find, and be absolutely sure of that decision.
It doesn't really matter how you do that, you can get another micro to test reactions for you even.
Now, even if you succeeded and manage to find yourself a friendly macro to stay with, section 2 is still important!
Section 2: Living with a macro
So through some circumstance you have ended up living with a macro, congratulations! Or that could be a bad thing, in that case the congratulations will have to wait until you have improved your situation.
The first thing you need to do is ascertain the type of your 'partner'.
This is where skills such as psychology or manipulation will aid you greatly.
If you were lucky and managed to find a nice one, you are still not safe enough to just stop thinking and enjoy yourself.
Just because they are nice to you doesn't mean they are being careful enough to never harm you.
And if you are at all worried about how they interact with you, then you need to start displaying discomfort long before you actually feel it.
You will do that until you install the desired level of care into them.
Even after all that you still want to avoid being where you can't get out. Even if they don't do anything to you, you will still be stuck if for some reason they never come back.
And do NOT just assume their friends will be just as good as them, avoid anyone else at all costs, and make sure you show it unless you have enough info to make it worth taking a risk.
The species of your macro is also important to consider when deciding on whether to stay with them or not.
You don't want to be squished flat by a giant wolf paw, don't get me wrong.
But you FOR SURE don't want to get obliterated by the hard scales of a giant heavy lizard.
Danger factor aside, you just will not be enjoying as much comfort.
Of course, if they are good to you then you really don't want to leave, but if you have better options then it might be wise to consider those first. You can use the macro as a connection to other likely candidates.
Now, what if you have great misfortune and are forcibly in this enclosed space with a not so nice macro?
Whatever you do, do NOT just panic and escape as soon as you get the opportunity.
Thinking about this will be the most important thing you will ever do. Whatever you are going through now, I guarantee you there might be something much worse waiting for you out there.
There are many different types of less desirable macros to encounter.
They might force you to do rather unpleasant things like lick their paws or worse.
Well, while there are some weird micros that enjoy that, some of them might just like to stomp micros flat right away.
Even if you found a nice one they might still try to get you to do these kind of things.
And until you have complete confidence DO NOT willfully do any of it!
If you strongly refuse it and they still urge you in a way you have no choice, this next section still applies to you.
Section 3: Escaping Evil
So you're trapped with a cruel macro? Not to worry, you can still improve your situation!
The first thing you need to look for are possible ways to escape without being seen, doors to go under. Of course, don't get caught trying to find an escape.
Being on the floor is ideal for being able to get to the exit but you will not always have access to the floor and it can be even more dangerous for you on the floor.
You want to do whatever they command you to do, make it look like you have given up, that way you will not be watched so closely.
You should also try to work out how other macros around them would treat micros. If possible getting them to save you is an option, if but one of the last ones you should take.
Sometimes escape is not even possible. However even you can put up a fight.
Section 4: Destroying Evil
This section relies heavily on having high skill or innate talent in certain fields.
None of this might apply if you don't have skill in at least one of these:
Chemistry
Psychology
The first thing you must do is determine your era. If you are in a modern setting with lots of technology you might even be able to bypass skill requirements by using the internet.
In a less advanced setting there is relatively little you can do.
The easiest way to get rid of a macro is through poison.
Now, this is much safer and easier to do passively.
Either by having access to their food, or slowly through other... ways...
While you can probably pull this off with no knowledge if you have even a basic idea of what is poisonous, if it doesn't actually kill them you will make your situation worse.
There is also the option of actively trying to poison them, either through some kind of sharp needle or a gas.
Using a gas requires a competent level of chemistry knowledge, and a trap setup.
You are much smaller than the target it's going to be used on, so you have to choose something you won't breathe in even a little while making it, and have time to set it up to activate with them in the room and with you able to get out of the room.
A much more difficult and less consistent strategy is to manipulate other macros to either save you or eliminate the one keeping you.
For this method you need to be very good at detecting macros that would be easy to trick into removing your target.
Generally the only way you can erase your oppressor if none of these are possible is creating a trap of some kind, even a ranged weapon with a string attached to the trigger would work.
Even if you have the resources to do this you need a long time left unsupervised to be able to set it up and will backfire greatly if it fails.
Even if you succeed, you are still doomed if you cannot leave where you are. You don't want to take them down only to starve to death.
Assuming you have taken that into consideration you now have two choices, either leave immediately or keep living there.
Undoubtedly other macros will come to deal with the body eventually, but it is likely none of them will know you exist. In that case you can hide and keep the space for yourself.
Okay, so you've reached this point and none of this is applicable to you.
Now there are only a few possible ways to improve your conditions.
But first, are you in a more medieval era with low tech, or a modern or futuristic era?
If it's the former, then I'm sorry, but this is the end of the line for you. There's just not much left you can do unless you are able to use some kind of magic...
But if it's the latter, good news you still have some options.
If you can get access to their phone or computer, you can achieve infinitely bigger feats.
While for many of them you may need more intel to get access to their money there is a lot you can do with just access.
For example even if you couldn't perform the poison strategy mentioned above, you could still get the components necessary through online shopping. Or you could get the components for a much safer concoction to create at your size.
If you still cannot do anything to them or don't have enough time for that, then the first thing you must figure out is the actual social standing of micros.
Yes, it is likely that they will either be completely unheard of, or just considered insignificant. But it is also possible micros may be considered as equals, or at least protected in some way.
If they are, then you are extremely lucky. You can very easily summon help, and while there is still a chance of being abused due to the constant presence of corruption, you are much more likely to get help from macros with plenty of experience with micros like yourself.
However if there is no law on your side, the best you can do is frame your captor for something else.
If you are in a futuristic setting, you do have more technology related tactics but since magic and technology typically vary greatly between existences, these uses must be left to your own plotting.

I am grateful for this guide i dont think id be alive without it. I was traveling through the forest, trying to find enough crumbs to survive the winter when a giant macro plucked me from the ground and locked me in a cage. Thankgod that big, bumbling bafoon didnt realize i had 10 gallons of windowcleaner in my pocket. Im gonna spray all that shit in its dumb looking face and hopefully it dies. I didnt realize that i could just poison a macro to death until i read this guide, thanks so much!
