garekmaxwell helped me with some code stuff so i drew this as a thankshe said he liked 80's suits so peak lapels and pink ties, baby!! shoulda put a boutonnière on there! hm, maybe that's more 40's.

And I forgot to ask earlier, was this done in traditional media? I only ask because it almost has this marker and paper grit to it that just so adds to the personality of your work. Is it traditional? Or is it digital with a texture added to it? Sorry if I'm prying too much into your process. I like it regardless of medium and I was only curious. :3

no sweat at all! it was fun to do, i love to draw busts and suits too
you're not prying at all! i do everything digital and add textures if it seems appropriate. i also sharpen the image a bit after i resize it to posting size because it takes away that sort of soft perfect digital vibe that one often ends up with when working in digital. not that it's bad, i just like the touch of subtle definition the sharpness gives it.

True, but when some people have to wear a tie they also prep them well... but most people have no consideration for how it looks, almost as if they have a "If it's on, it doesn't matter" state of mind. Personally, no matter the situation, I always tie mine neatly c: I take great pride in my ninja-like speed of tying a good half-windsor! If the opportunity to wear one arises, I'm more than obliged to do so... in fact, if an event where I'll need to pops up, I look forward to it more purely for that prospect XD
The only problem is, I only own 2 ties. That, and being 16/nearly 17 the oppurtunity doesn't arise often enough :c
