My first real attempt at grayscale shading. I'm not really happy with the way it came out. I would appreciate any advice in terms of the adding of color and texture as I really want to improve in this area. Done in Photoshop cs5 w/ tablet.

It looks great ^^ I really like the patterns on the wings and the colors you used. As for advice, the only thing I would recomend would be adding a bit of shading/texture to the frills in the back of the head and tail, just like you did on the wings.
